Due to popular demand we have added a new Brecon Beacons Adventure trip on 19-20 September 2011. The two trips originally planned for the year sold out.

The Brecon Beacons Adventure trip is the perfect counterpoint to the arena-based Levels One to Three. This two-day tour is probably the simplest you could ever go on. Forget preparing a bike, planning routes and arranging accommodation – all that’s required is a motorcycle licence and an overnight bag.

Starting at BMW Off Road Skills HQ, riders saddle up on their choice of brand-new 2011 BMW adventure bikes – from the single cylinder G 650 GS to the legendary R 1200 GS – before heading north into the beautiful Brecon Beacons for a non-stop adventure. The tour route includes scenic, twisty single-lane roads, gravel fire tracks, Byways Open to All Traffic and, of course, muddy lanes! Riders also get to experience beautiful moorlands and navigate through lush forests. The overnight stay in a welcoming guest house in Radnorshire marks the half-way point.

After a hearty meal and a good night’s sleep, riders take an entirely different, but equally characterful, route back south through the awe-inspiring Black Mountains and onwards to BMW Off Road Skills HQ.

This trip is ideal for those who have completed a BMW Off Road Skills course or have a similar level of experience as some sections could be a bit tricky for novices.

We’re known best for our training and teaching courses but we also offer a range of adventures for riders with a little experience under their belts who want to try something new.
