Imagine having almost daily access to all the knowledge, expertise, and general awesomeness of all the ORS instructors to keep improving your skills between ‘live’ courses. That’s been my experience since signing up to the online Core Essential Skills course two months ago. I’ve already got so much from the structured weekly practice sessions, with supportive instructor feedback, and the forum interactions with other course members. The weekly Zoom sessions are also great fun, informative and practical; there's such breadth and depth of experience in the 'room' to learn from and engage with. This course is giving me the space to better understand, and embed, the core skills to keep progressing off-road and build my confidence. I can’t wait for all the adventures to come, including Portugal! A massive thank you to Simon, Linley and the ORS team.
There are two things in particular that make the Off-road skills learning world premium course stand out as second-to-none: Number one: You receive top-notch, unparalleled and individual coaching from some of the most experienced off road riders in the world. Number two: The course is truly for all and every rider! Although on different skill levels, everyone definitely benefits from the core essential practices.
As soon as I saw that ORS were introducing the Learning World, I signed up… I’d attended the Level 1 & Level 2 courses at the Walters Arena where I learnt so much but where time spent with the instructors is obviously limited to the periods between riding and supporting the other riders. This was support on a whole new level…having the opportunity to speak with the ORS Instructors on a weekly basis; follow a learning experience that has been carefully devised to get the best out of your riding, whatever your ability; being encouraged to video and self-critique yourself and to have experts point you in the right direction every week has improved my riding and confidence greatly… much to the training teams delight, the improvements made to my riding position mean that even at 6ft 6in, I’ve now removed my bar risers. I’ll be signing up for a Level 3 course soon to get some hands-on training with the ORS team… but with 10 months learning costing me the price of a weekends tuition I really think I’m getting the best of both… I’d encourage anyone to sign up and work through the lessons… take it slow, do the work and reap the rewards… your riding will improve and you get to chat with a bunch of likeminded individuals every week…
