Isle of Man Classic TT Adventure

Legendary roads. Classic racing. Off-road soul.

This is the trip where everything you love about motorcycle riding comes together in one amazing trip: iconic riding, wild scenery, proper off-road, and the sound of classic race bikes echoing around the magical Isle of Man.

Imagine riding to the Isle of Man, through beautiful Wales, on a GS, with a small group of like-minded riders, enjoying some of the best landscapes the UK has to offer and staying in amazing hotels. That’s what the Isle of Man Classic TT Adventure is all about.

So much more than just standing trackside and watching Classic TT racing, it’s about the build-up: riding through Wales, crossing to the island, seeing the course in the flesh, hearing the bikes, meeting the people, and then getting your own off-road fix on Manx trails before sweeping back to South Wales via two final days of epic Welsh trails.

The Isle of Man Classic TT Adventure is for riders who want more than just a track-side ticket. It’s for those who want a complete experience – the journey, the track, the atmosphere, and the feeling of having really earned a place at the Grandstand.

The experience

It starts at the BMW Off Road Skills HQ in South Wales. Following an evening welcome dinner, you’ll collect your GS and meet the ORS instructor team. A real adventure follows – not just a transfer – as we head north on a mix of carefully chosen back roads and trails.

  • Scenic Welsh and borderland roads and trails
  • Regular coffee and fuel stops, guided and supported
  • An overnight stop en-route with a relaxed group dinner

The boat awaits on day two, as we cross from Liverpool to Douglas with the iconic Steam Packet ferry. Once we dock, we ride off as a group and head towards our base at the Comis Hotel. After check-in, we go straight to the heart of it: a guided lap of the TT Course. In the evening there’s time to decompress and enjoy a relaxed first night on the island

  • Ride the legendary Mountain Course at road pace with ORS instructors
  • Learn key sections, history and stories as you go
  • Stop at iconic points for photos and to take it all in

Wednesday is your full Classic TT race day, with everything organised: Soaking in the sights and sounds, it’s all about up close and personal viewing and access to iconic motorcycles and legendary racers. An evening dinner will be made even more memorable thanks to a Special Classic TT guest.

  • Reserved seats at the TT Grandstand
  • Start line passes, giving you an enhanced, up-close experience
  • Formula One Classic TT Race
  • TT Rewind Parade
  • Classic Sidecar Parade
  • Lightweight / Ultra Lightweight Classic TT Race
  • Junior 600 Classic TT Race
  • Dinner at The Forge, just a short walk from the hotel
  • Special Classic TT guest joins the group

Thursday is the day we hit the best off-road trails in the Isle of Man. It’s a day built around riding, views, and small, perfectly judged off-road challenges – all tailored to the group. Because Thursday is also a Classic TT contingency day, if the race schedule shifts, we’ll adjust the plan and blend spectating with the off-road ride.

  • Explore scenic routes such as “The Sloc” with panoramic views over the south
  • Stop at places like The Sound Café for coffee and Victory Café for lunch
  • Mix on-road linking sections with appropriate off-road trails
  • Dinner in Douglas, timed to coincide with the Red Devils air display over Douglas Bay (subject to final confirmation)

On Friday we’ll catch the final races and say farewell to the island. We’ll watch from Hillberry Grandstand or another carefully chosen vantage point, giving you one last, unforgettable spectating experience. Then, in late afternoon, it’s back to the ferry for your return journey to Liverpool and onward to the day’s hotel.

  • Back through Wales – two more days of spectacular adventure riding

We don’t rush home. Instead, we take a scenic two-day ride back to South Wales, drawing on the same style of roads and trails as we use for the ever-popular Brecon Beacons Adventure:

  • Flowing lanes and trails
  • Open moorland sections
  • Carefully chosen coffee, lunch and photo stops

Expect two ‘big day out’ days, as the trip comes to an end where it started: at the BMW Off Road Skills HQ, with tired smiles and a head full of new roads, new sounds and new stories.
