Hi all. Yesterday was another strange day. We were up at the usual time and ready to go for 5am but we didn't get away until 8am as we got held by the organisers. The fuel trucks had got stopped and held at the Chinese border so we had to wait for them to get in.
Then, when we eventually got to the special, we had to wait for another three hours until Renee turned up in his helicopter. It seems it's the first time that the Chinese have let foreigners fly private aircraft in their air space, but you have to have a Chinese navigator, so that held everyone up a bit. The special was then shortened to 100k. That suited me fine! We'd all been sitting around for three or four hours in 40 degree heat waiting for the chopper and I really didn't feel on top form. My head just really wasn't in it so I just cruised the stage and finished it safely.
