Day in the Dirt – something for everyone!
Off Road Skills will be running special one-day events in 2008 which is all about riding. It is suitable to all levels of off road riders – from those who have completed a Level One course right through to experienced off roaders.

This day is just about riding bikes. Off Road Skills has hired the 4,000-acre Walters Arena and has “graded” loops around the site. These loops are similar to ski runs – green (novice/easy), blue (medium), red (challenging) and black (very challenging) – and the Off Road Skills team have these loops memorised to guide customers around the mountain.

The Day in Dirt was named the Brecon Beacons Adventure in 2007 and over 80 customers took part. Each customer enjoyed this fun new experience because it was just about riding bikes in small groups and offered the capability of catering for all levels of riders. Participants could also go up or down a level as required during the day.

For 2008, the Day in the Dirt will run on the back of selected Off Road Skills courses, so it is a perfect opportunity to learn the skills on a Level One or Two course and then put your skills into action. Of course, customers can join this day only and just come and play!

Participants will have a choice of riding a G650 XCountry, G650 XChallenge or R1200 GS for this activity. They must be over the age of 21 and hold a full and valid motorcycle licence for riding in the UK.

How much?
The Day in the Dirt costs £225 for participants riding either a BMW G650 XCountry, G650 XChallenge, or a R1200 GS. All participants must have completed the BMW Off Road Skills Level One course. Participants are grouped according to riding ability and must have a good level of fitness. The price includes use of a BMW motorcycle, third party insurance, petrol, lunch and a support vehicle. It does not include accommodation or evening drinks.
