I can’t find my licence. What do I do?
It is essential that customers bring both parts of their original licence – plastic and paper – with them when they register on the first morning of the course or an Off Road Skills event. Customers will not be permitted to take part without this documentation.
In the week leading up to the course, if for some reason a customer who has a UK licence cannot find one or both parts of their licence, this is what they must do to obtain them:
Plastic and paper – Customers need to call the DVLA on 0870 240 0009 to apply for a duplicate licence. The licence should be dispatched within 2 working days and the charge will be £22 (as of September 2007). Lines are open Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat 8am-5:30pm.
If they do have the paper part of their licence and are only missing the plastic part, the customer can bring their original passport with them as photo ID. Therefore they must bring their original passport and the original paper part of their licence.
Where is the nearest airport?
South Wales is a beautiful destination and an easy commute from most locations in the UK. From London it is just simple drive down the M4 and then only 15 minutes from the motorway. For those customers coming from further a field, the closest airport is Cardiff, which is only an hour down the road. Customers with their own private plane (some have in the past) can utilise the convenience of Swansea Airport, just 20 minutes from our base. From the midlands, south Wales is well serviced from the M50.
Where is the nearest train station?
Neath train station is approximately 11 miles from our site. There is a taxi rank there.
Can I leave my bike there while I do the course?
Yes. Customers can park their bike out the front of the building which is off the road. The office staff work from Monday to Friday.
Can my friends/family watch me do the school?
No. Due to insurance reasons, friends/family are not able to come up to the site to watch the school, but there are plenty of other activities to enjoy in the area. Go to www.visitwales.com
Can I film some of the action while I'm on the school?
No. The World and British Rally Championships own the rights to filming on the Walters Arena site. Off Road Skills has a contract with Walters Arena which states they cannot film on the site.
